Para-Clinical
Department of Biochemistry, Pathology & Microbiology
Unraveling the Biochemical Basis of Health and Disease Mechanisms
Departmental Overview
This department Bridges fundamental cellular chemistry with clinical disease mechanisms. Students investigate the metabolic pathways of fasting and nutrition, cellular injury, inflammation, hematological disorders, and pathogenic microorganisms, ensuring rigorous scientific diagnostic competency.
Clinical Applications
- Biochemical monitoring of ketosis, lipid profiles, and liver enzymes during fasting therapy
- Histopathological correlation with chronic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases
- Identification of infectious pathogens and sterile infection control in hospital environments
- Analysis of urine pathological constituents in metabolic and renal disorders
Practical & Hands-On Training
- Colorimetric and spectrophotometric biochemical estimations
- Histopathological slide examination of neoplasms, granulomas, and cellular degenerations
- Microbiological Gram staining, Acid-Fast staining, and aseptic culturing
- Clinical urinalysis and peripheral blood smear examination
Department Laboratories & Facilities
Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory with semi-auto analyzers and spectrophotometers
